Healing myself through the wisdom of Adlerian psychology: the courage to go beyond doubt that I gained from the book *The Courage to Be Disliked*
The book *The Courage to Be Disliked* taught me a vital lesson that has shaped my life: to face adversity head-on and remain true to myself. As we grow up, there are always people telling us how we should live our lives, but what is it that we truly want? If our choices are always based on the expectations of others, then for whom are we actually living our lives? I hope my experiences will help you realise that in this life, we should pursue our own ideals, rather than the expectations of others.
Although making such a choice may leave you feeling lonely, particularly when faced with opposition from family, true happiness lies in remaining true to yourself and living the life you desire. Even if this means going against others’ expectations, I firmly believe it is worth it, for this is the life I have always envisioned for myself.
