Meditation is a form of mental discipline that involves concentration and physical relaxation to achieve mental calm and inner balance. It can cultivate our awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, improve concentration, and promote physical and mental well-being. In Buddhism and Taoism, it is often referred to as ‘sitting meditation’ or ‘zazen’.
